I totally agree about ordering a half size up - although I would even recommend ordering a whole size up. I am always a size 6 except in Steve Madden. The 6.5 fit but my toe is right at the end. I would have rather had a 7 with a little wiggle room. I have to say that for the money the boot is pretty but there is NO padding for your foot. By the end of the day the ball of my foot hurt so bad and I spend most of my day sitting down. Why can't they make a dress boot with a sneaker insole? Then women could wear them all day! Also, I found these boots to be slippery on a floor - so be careful. Also, the boot sagged throughout the day, I had to keep pulling them up. I don't know if I love the toe shape either. The boots I wanted were $200 I got 2 pair of these (1 black 1 brown) for $80. I guess you can't beat that price. So, in short - get a whole size bigger so that you can fit in a shoe insert for the padding that the boot doesn't come with.
Not My Favorite Toe Shape--But They Fit My Calves!
Thanks Amanda from Scottsdale. I did order a half size up and I'm lucky I did. The toe IS tight. But it's partly due to the "almond" shape toe. I don't really care for it. It reminds me of those Chinese footbinding shoes. But, if that's what's hot this season so be it. The heel, though high, is comfortable; the whole boot is really pretty comfortable. I haven't worn them out for a long period but in the time I had them on they didn't feel like platforms, which I normally don't like.
The best part: they fit my calves!!! I am tall and slender and have slim calves and can NEVER find stretch boots that fit and THESE DO!! That alone makes the toe ok!
1/2 Size Up
What ever your shoe size, order these a half size up. They are terrific boots with a great look and amazing heel. Everything about them is cool and sexy, and looks great with just about anything. I say order a half size up to allow room for your toes. No matter how thin the socks you wear with these, they are tight around the toes.
